By Carolyn Adriaansen (926-4436) Meredith Sorensen's second grade class visited the Marion Museum on May 20. They came to get a "taste" of the history of Marion. I really enjoyed the thank-you notes from all the children! Ruth Haskins is recuperating home following cataract surgery. Did you know that if you save $2000 a year, in an IRA, starting at the age of 34 years or earlier, that by the age of 65 you will be a millionaire! "May Mahem" has been chosen for the Saturday night, May 30 gathering at the Second Reformed Church's Educational Building. Join the teenagers for B-ball, V-ball, soccer, ping pong, music, food, board games, videos, 4 Square, etc. Bring your friends. Gord and I were on the bus trip to Albany for their Tulip Festival. We saw a cute play titled "A Little Night Music," and had an unusual dinner at the Mansion Hill Inn. On Monday we toured the State Buildings seeing the Senate and Assembly Chambers with all its history, stained glass windows and "woodwork." We climbed the Million Dollar staircase (I figure we own a share in these stately historic buildings.) Monday we had time to visit the observation deck & State museum.
