County Historical Society seeks photos The Wayne County Historical Society is working with town historians and town historical societies in Wayne County who want to be included in a fund-raising project of making a photographic history of Wayne County. "All fifteen towns will be represented in the book, whether or not their historians or historical societies decide to share in the work and profits generated from the project," says Andrea Evangelist, Executive Director of the Wayne County Historical Society. "We will write the section for any town whose historian or historical society can not be directly involved," Evangelist explains. The Society is asking for pictures of people, places and things that will portray Wayne County's 175-year history. The pictures will be compiled and the book written this winter, and the finished piece will be for sale late summer 1999. Pictures can be dropped off at the Museum, 21 Butternut Street, Lyons. Museum hours are Tuesday-Friday 10-4 and weekends, 12:30-3:30. Copyright
