S.O.S. - There is a need for baby clothes and furniture for a new young mother!!

"If at first you don't succeed, do it the way your mother told you!"

Mrs. Lois Admiraal, along with Mrs. Esther Hutt, traveled to Grand Rapids, MI, last weekend for Calvin College's Parent Weekend. Kristen Admiraal is a freshman and Denise Hutt is a junior. They enjoyed the weekend with their daughters along with the beautiful fall weather.

The East Palmyra Christian School is selling frozen apple pies on a regular basis. They are $6.00 and can be picked up at any time. For Thanksgiving they will be selling apple, cherry and blueberry. They can be ordered ahead of time, just call 597-4400.

Pastor John and Marie Nyitray and daughter, Mary, were welcomed into the congregation of those attending the Second Reformed Church on November 1. Pastor Nyitray is a former minister of the church and presented the evening service on that day.

Laura DeCook is presently a patient at the Newark Hospital.

The young people at the United Church collected over 75 adult bikes and 20 blankets on "National Make A Difference Day." We appreciate their work, and the efforts of Barb Wilson and Linda DePoint. Thanks too, to Steve Schutt, who took the bikes to the Asbury Methodist Church in Rochester.

The Women's Guild at the United Church will be holding their annual bazaar, titled, "Ye Olde Street of Shops." The date scheduled is Saturday, November 14.

THANKS! from the Marion Boy Scout Troop #130 to those who attended their first annual Spaghetti Supper held at Maryellen's Cafe. And to those in the community who donated supplies! THANKS AGAIN!

It is wonderful to see Jeanette Stubenrod out and about again after being ill for a while.

Dear Dan - there is white stuff on the roof and I can almost see the steeple at the First Reformed Church. Have a happy holiday time in Florida.

VETERANS DAY - Wednesday, November 11 - no school, no banks open, no mail.

November 10, 1921: A school meeting of the voters of District No. 1 was held in the Grange Hall Wednesday to consider the state requirements. District Superintendent A.M. Croop of Newark was present, and on instructions from Albany, directed the district that a new building must be begun at once. The old one may be used until a new one can be provided. Five taxpayers were elected to act with the Board and are: Dr. A.R. Halstead, Dr. John VanDoorn, M.J. Merson, Rollo D. Curtis and Melvin Warner.
