At the Marion Library

The Marion Public Library will be celebrating Children's Book Week, November 16- 20, with special programs and prizes.

Monday, November 16, will be designated Young Adult Day. All library users sixth grade and up are invited to the library between the hours of 2:30 and 6 p.m. to have a snack, fill out a survey and sign up for a prize drawing. Stop in and tell us what you like about our library, and what you don't like; make suggestions for book, video and computer game purchases.

Tuesday, will be Game Day. The Ronald McDonald computer will be available to sign up and play some educational games. Wednesday, the computer will be open for use by young people to try out our new Print Shop program. Make a sign, a greeting card, invitation, etc.

On Thursday, we will have guest readers between the hours of 4 and 5 for our Rock and Read program. Friday, we will top off the week by having a Craft Day. Stop in between 4 and 5 p.m. and make a Christmas Decoration.

Every young person who comes in the library during Children's Book Week will have an opportunity to sign up for our grand prize drawing. We will also be featuring a "guess the number of candies" contest all week long. So, stop in and see us at the Marion Library for Children's Book Week. If you don't have a library card, now is a good time to get one.
