Danny Boy's closed this week
By John Zornow

danny boysTerry Safford, owner of property at 145 Railroad Avenue, appeared before the Newark Municipal Board yesterday to ask for help in dealing with a $2500 water and sewer bill.

According to Safford, his foreclosure proceedings against Dan Muscolino caused the problem. Danny Boy's Hometown Spirit closed Sunday night.

Safford, who foreclosed on the property last week, was told that much of the water bill has already been relevied onto the tax rolls, which takes it out of Municipal Board control.

Municipal Board Chair Jim SanAngelo said that perhaps penalties on the remaining amount could be forgiven, but he reminded Safford that the board has to act within the law. SanAngelo told Safford that the board will consult with the village attorney on the matter.
