World AIDS Day Memorial Service

The 11th observance of World AIDS Day will be commemorated on December 1. On this day each year, the world is called to unite in memory of those whose lives have been claimed by HIV/AIDS, and to support those who are courageously fighting this disease everyday.

Locally, the Wayne County Task Force on AIDS will be holding its second annual Memorial Service at the First Presbyterian Church, 11 Queen St., Lyons on December 1, at 7 p.m.

People will celebrate the lives of individuals who have lost their battle to AIDS. The task force is asking anyone wishing to have a loved one's name read at this service to call task force members Lisa Roth at 946-5749 or Deb Hellert at 331-3783. Please call by November 25.
