Give blood in December

Please give blood during the holidays.

Blood drives are planned:

• December 2, noon-5, ViaHealth of Wayne, Sodus Campus;
• Dec. 10 from 2-7 p.m. at the Clyde Fire Department. It is sponsored by the fire department and the Clyde United Methodist Church;
• Dec. 14, 2-7 p.m., Palmyra Fire Dept. on Route 31;
• Dec. 16 from 9:30-2:30, North Rose-Wolcott High School;
• Dec. 31 from 1-6 p.m., Williamson United Methodist Church.

The chapter needs blood for surgical patients, children with life-threatening diseases, accident victims, and hemophiliacs. There is no substitute for blood or blood products. Giving blood is safe and simple and takes about one hour.

Reminder: a blood drive will take place Nov. 28 at the Newark Quality Inn, from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m.
