The plant lady on Goosen Road is holding her open house on December 3, 4, 5 and 12. Thursday, 9/9, Friday, 12/5 and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Her number is 926-5640. NOVEMBER 24, 1931 - Presbyterian Chicken Pie Supper and Sale will be held in the Baptist Church on Friday. Miss Delaphine Clark's class will have a fish pond. Aprons, fancy articles, candy and baked goods will be for sale. David Honness was welcomed at The United Church on November 15, sharing his musical talent and an inspirational message. Dave is a resident of Newark and he and his wife attend the Canandaigua Wesleyan Church and sing in the choir. On December 3 the Penny Fund Collection for local charities begins at the Marion High School. You are cordially invited to share a Cup of Christmas Tea with friends at the Marion Museum on Saturday, December 5. Tea and accompanying sweets will be served from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. Barb Bushart is favoring a broken ankle these busy days. Gordon and I held an open house for family members following a delicious dinner together at Burnham's Canalside Restaurant in Newark, in celebration of Thanksgiving. Harold and Eleanor Schoonerman had their family gathered around the dining room table for their Thanksgiving dinner. John Ballesty, representing the Marion Food Pantry, announces that the recent food drive was a huge success! Thanks go to the Marion boy Scouts for the bag distribution and for the collection of the food stuffs on November 21. Another group worthy of recognition is the Marion 4-H group who did the packing and sorting. The amount of food collected in this food drive in the Marion area was in excess of two tons.
