Humane Society plans pasta dinner

The Humane Society of Wayne County will hold its annual Pasta Dinner on Saturday, October 17 from 4-8 p.m. at the Palmyra Fire Hall on Route 31.

A special feature of the dinner is an array of homemade desserts donated by Society members and friends.

The traditional White Elephant sale will be held in conjunction with the dinner. Hours for the sale have been extended this year to run from Noon until 8 p.m. There will be an exciting Christmas section this year.

The Apple Country Christmas Shop of Sodus, which recently went out of business, has donated their remaining stock to the Society and will be available at the sale, along with many other treasures.

Tickets are available at the shelter, from board members or at the door the day of the dinner. The cost is $5 for adults and $3 for children under 12. Take-outs are available.

For information on the shelter's hours of operation and volunteer opportunities, call the Humane Society at 946-3389.
