The Newark girls lost 3-1 to Marcus Whitman Tuesday. Rachel Prong scored the Reds' goal. Newark is 4-8.

The varsity lost 2-0 to the Canandaigua Braves on September 30. The Braves got on the scoreboard 15 minutes into the game when Colleen Curtis scored off an assist by Lesley Hampton. Just three minutes later Curtis scored her second goal of the game.

Newark almost cut the score to 2-1 but the Braves goalkeeper made a big save with just 36 seconds remaining in the first half.

Goalie Nicole Milliman (pictured) had an outstanding game as she finished with 18 saves. The Reds were outshot 28-8 in the ballgame. Canandaigua improved to 8-2.
