A hunting we will go, and a hunting we went -- in search of the most beautiful colored foliage on our bus trip to and from Lake George. There was a drizzle as we left home, but it cleared as we passed through Amsterdam, Ballston Spa, Saratoga Springs and on to Lake George. The scheduled boat ride on the Mohican was nice on the clean, clear lake. We floated down to Paradise Bay where the shore line is undeveloped. As expected, all the meals were exceptional and the dinner show titled, Broadway Memories was filled with peppy show tunes and had the most elaborate, colorfully designed costumes ever. On Friday we discovered what we were looking for, entire mountains painted in gorgeous colors. Red and orange leafed maples, yellow beeches, colorful sumacs, stately white birch all interspersed with the dark green evergreens. We had a driving tour of Prospect Mountain and a barbecue at 1000 Acres Ranch Resort. Another wonderful trip by Stan and Isabelle Bushart, al- ways making us feel like family.
