Marion Library News

There are still plenty of spaces left for the Fall Storytimes at the Marion Library. If your child is, or will be three by December 1, they are eligible for this program.

Due to the low enrollment, the Monday Evening class has been postponed indefinitely. This session is held Monday evenings from 6:45 until 7:30. If you are interested in enrolling your child for this program, please call the library at 926-4933.

Many thanks to Deb Leeuwen and her daughters, Vicci and Valerie for their faithful volunteering in decorating the window in the library. It is a much appreciated effort by the staff and the patrons of the library.

Work on the new library at the former Grange in Marion, is moving along. Each week, a little more progress is made. Although we don't have a target date for moving yet (I see that as closer to the year 2,000), we are still excited about the project.

The Fundraising committee is meeting regularly, and is pleased with the wonderful response from the community.

New books in the library: Bag of Bones by Stephen King, Tuesdays with Morrie by Mitch Albom (which is Pam's recommendation) and Do Pharmacists sell Farms? by Vince Staten.
