Fine Arts Auction next week

The ViaHealth of Wayne, Newark-Wayne Community Hospital Foundation is sponsoring an Art Auction on Friday, October 30, 7:30 p.m. at the Newark Quality Inn.

Between 150 and 200 works of art by national, international and lesser known artists will be auctioned off. The selections will include oil paintings, watercolors, silk-screens, original and offset lithographs (prints), serigraphs, and etchings, as well as decorative images, all custom framed and matted. Many of the pieces are signed and numbered by the artist, adding to the value of the art.

Tickets are $10 per person and $15 per couple. Ticket holders will have a chance to preview all artwork at 6:30 p.m., and the auction will begin promptly at 7:30 p.m.

Hors d'oeuvres, coffee and cake will be served and a cash bar will be available.

The Art Auction committee, co-chaired by Foundation Board Members Margaret Beale and Judy Leone, includes: Andrea Baran, Marlene Burman, Gail Chambers, Sandy DeVolder, Barbara Harper, Pat Havrilla, Eileen Healy, Beth Heasley, Janet Lefebvre, Dawn Strait, Sue VanTyle, and Barb Viola.

According to committee co-chair Judy Leone, "This is the second art auction the Foundation has sponsored and I foresee a good time for all attendees. The work is lovely and there will be something for everyone's taste."

Proceeds from the auction will benefit ViaHealth of Wayne, Newark-Wayne Community Hospital Foundation. Cash, checks, Master Card, VISA and Discover will be accepted.
