Primary School:
Working Together

By Melissa White

I went to the Sodus Primary School to the Open House and Book Fair. It was so nice to watch as everyone worked together for one goal - the children.

Mr. Burns, the Intermediate School's new principal, cooked hot dogs while others helped to pass them out. Parents and students enjoyed their dinners out on the school's front yard. Afterward, there was the talk about the Community Center by Mrs. Miner then on to the Book Fair.

Many teachers have a storybook theme they work with, such as the Rainbow Fish and the Chocolate Cake. The Kindergarten students had been learning about cave art and had made a cave of their own, using great imaginations to decorate it.
