Newark girls soccer

The varsity girls improved to 7-9 with a 2-0 win over the Waterloo Indians last Friday. Kara soccer girlsWilliams scored a goal in the first half, and Jody Lanse added the second goal. Nicole Milliman had a fine game as goalkeeper. The Indians outshot the Reds 29-4 in the game.

The day before, Newark picked up a 1-0 win over the Palmyra-Macedon Red Raiders at Newark.

Nicole Simonse scored the goal in the five minutes into the second half. Newark was outshot in the game 20-18. Rachel Prong provided an assist to Simonse.

It was Senior Night. Honored were Hanne Bjertnes, Teresa Zappia and Abigail Nedvesky (pictured).

The junior varsity girls played to a 0-0 tie with the Waterloo Indians on October 17 at Newark.

Newark was outshot 27-16 in the game, which went into double overtime. Newark goalie Angie Perillo had 16 saves.

Newark dropped a 2-0 decision to the Red Raiders on October 15 at Newark. Pal-Mac outshot Newark 14-1.
