School sports: The volleyball team lost to Clyde 3-1 and the JV team also lost.

Girls jayvee soccer tied Wayne 0-0. Varsity girls defeated Wayne 2-0 on goals by Amy Fisher and Sarah Johnston.

Boys varsity soccer team tied Gananda 2-2 in OT.

Boys 8th-grade team defeated Gananda 3-0. Girls grade 8 team defeated Sodus 1-0. The girls Mod B soccer team beat Sodus 5-0.

JV boys soccer team topped Gananda 4-0.

Top cross country runners have been Mark Hussey, Rebecca Lewis and Jane Bovet.

OCTOBER 25, 1934: Caldwell Place Guernseys, owned by John Rich, led the count in the production of milk for September, in the Wayne County Dairy Improvement Assn.

A Spaghetti Dinner is set for Monday, October 26 at Mary Ellen's Main Street Cafe for the benefit of Marion Boy Scout Troup #130 troop activity fund. Serving 4:40-7:30 p.m.

The Junior-Senior High School Music Department will present fall concerts. Tuesday, November 3, Senior High Choir, Concert Band and Jazz Ensemble Fall Concert (Part 1), 7:30 p.m.

Thursday, November 6, the Junior High Concert Band, Junior High Choir, Show Choir and Wind Ensemble will present the Fall (Part 2) Concert at 7:30 p.m. Both concerts at the High School are free and open to the public.

Abe Hotel is at home recovering from surgery and Doug DeVuyst is recovering from hip replacement surgery. Cards can be forwarded to P.O. Box 12, Hoffmeister, NY 13353.

Bob Layton has been discharged from the hospital after a stay following an accident.

Jake Hubright is home and doing fine, following surgery at Rochester General.

Evelyn VerPlank is presently a patient at the Rochester General Hospital.

Shoe-Shine Johnnie's Coffee House will be held on Friday, October 23 from 8-11:30 p.m. for students in grades 7-12. The coffee house is located at 34 Mill St., Sodus. The cost is $4 and includes beverages and dessert. The theme for the night is "The Mask That We Wear." Students - invite your friends!

Julia Wise presented the Ministry of Music at the Second Reformed Church on October 18.

Shirley Lancaster from the Office for the Aging, in Lyons, spoke following the October 13 dinner meeting of the Marion Senior Citizens. She explained the future de-regulation of electric bills in a competitive market.

Family Night Roller Skating Party is Friday, October 30, 7-8:30 p.m. at the Elementary Gym. All children must be accompanied by an adult.

Congratulations to Kevin and Helen on the birth of Nicholas Lee Gregee, weighing 9 lbs. 5 oz., measuring 20.5 inches. Happy grandparents are Albert and Nancy Nevelizer of Witherden Road.

There is still time to attend the HAUNTED HEYRIDE on Armington Rd. in Palmyra, with proceeds going to the Wayne County Unit of the American Cancer Society. It takes approximately 150 volunteers to create this event. Money raised supports research and patient care for those of us in Wayne County.
