POW/MIA bracelets available in Clyde The Wayne County Chapter MIA/POW Organization wants to keep our veterans from being forgotten. N.Y.S. veterans who served in southeast Asia and Vietnam and were prisoners of war or reported missing in action have been memorialized with a bracelet. You can help keep the public aware of the sacrifice these young people made for our country by wearing a bracelet until these MIA's and POW's are accounted for. Each bracelet has the name of a MIA or POW and sells for $5, plus $1 shipping/handling. A booklet for $5 (plus $1) lists the names of all the NYS veterans who are still missing in action or were prisoners of war during the Vietnam era. The booklet lists the branch of service they were in, their hometown, the date of birth and the date and county of casualty. There is also a list of all the veterans from Wayne County that are on the Vietnam Wall Memorial in Washington, D.C. One bracelet and one booklet may be purchased for $10 total. Requests may be sent to: Wayne County American Legion, c/o Michael L. Montemorano, Chairman, 1427 Tyre Rd., Clyde 14433. Phone 923-7111.
