The Marion Historic Association would like to thank the folks who supported the booth during the Heritage Festival last weekend. Congratulations to raffle winner, Monica Deyo, who won the framed North Main Street print. Marion Boy Scout Jason Keys picked the winning ticket on Sunday afternoon. Much appreciated was all the help from the volunteers who manned the booth; Carol Ramsey, Diane VanLare, Sue Luckman, Nancy Karasinski and sister, Arloa, Debbie Smith, Nancy Nevelizer and Ann Bliss. Special THANK YOU to Gary Wilson for the beautiful job of framing the North Maih Street print and Dave VanLare for printing the coverlet brochure and map.

Suzanne Milliman presented the Ministry of Music at the August 30 worship service at the Second Reformed Church. Around 25 youths came and had a wonderful time at Youth Night on August 22. Thanks to all the kids and adults who have made Youth Night a success.

THANKS! to those who volunteered to host at the Marion Museum on Festival Saturday. By giving an hour allows everyone to have time to spend eating and taking in the events of the day. My thanks go to Barbara DeWandel, Joe Bovet, Zoe Bovet, Linda Roeland and Joanne DeVries.

Congratulations to Art and Genevieve Lent on the occasion of their 64th Wedding Anniversary on September 8.

A Roast Beef Supper is planned at the American Legion Home on Witherden Road on September 11.

We were pleased to know that Hazel McMullin was in town on Festival Sunday.

"Come in, sit down relax and converse. Our house doesn't always look like this, sometimes it's even worse."

Happy 45th Wedding Anniversary wishes to Sherwood and Barb DeLyser on September 12.

School opens on Tuesday, Sept. 8.

Kay St. Leger, of Dublin, Ireland, has been spending the last month with her is sister and family, John and Eileen Ballesty of Cory Corners Road.

SEPTEMBER 7, 1933 - Under the auspices of the Marion Central Rural School Welfare Fund, three tonsil clinics have been held at the Newark Hospital and 14 children operated upon. Much credit is due Mrs. H.J. Radley, chairman of the Welfare Committee.

The Marion Legion Baseball Team is coed. Guys and gals will be welcome to play next year. Jenny Devlin played on this year's team.
