Storm cripples Lyons

When record-breaking winds of hurricane force ripped through the state just about 1 a.m. Sunday, Lyons was one of the hardest hit. Still today, what look like war-torn neighborhoods are without power and clearing debris. Roofs were ripped from houses, trees uprooted (sidewalks came along), and giant trees broken in two like twigs. School openings were cancelled for today, and Lyons and Clyde remain in a State of Emergency. click photo for full size version
