East Palmyra Christian School is starting classes for its 52nd year of operations. This summer, EPCS students, faculty, alumni, and supporters celebrated the EPCS fiftieth anniversary. Participants came from as far away as Chicago and Hudsonville, Michigan to join in the festivities. One local alumnus, Jesse Nevelezer of Williamson, was part of the first EPCS graduating class and shared with the audience his experiences in that first eighth grade class. Celebrators reminisced of their times at EPCS and renewed acquaintances. The anniversary focused on God's faithfulness to East Palmyra Christian School for all these years. And this week, another year began for the school. Seventy-eight students have been enrolled with an added four pre-kindergartners. The school offers a full compliment of courses, taught from a Christian perspective, in addition to a complete athletic program and music instruction. Students participate in the WYNCAA League in soccer, volleyball, basketball and track and field as well as in music programs and festivals. The EPCS Handchime Choirs are renown in the area! In April, the school hosts a Young Artists Festival celebrating student talents in the visual, musical, and literary arts. School information can be obtained by calling 597-4400. Copyright © 1998 |
