Congratulations to all who took part in the blood drive on April 7. Red Cross collected 63 units - way above the goal of 35 pints. Students and staff worked at the canteen.

Last weekend, Fred and Doris Coisman enertained Dr. Marian Steen from Manhattan. She and Doris were childhood friends in Oregon.

Boy Scout Troop 130 is planning a scalloped potato and ham dinner, with homemade pies for dessert, on April 26. The dinner will be held at Mary Ellen's Restaurant on Main St. from 4:30-7 p.m. Proceeds will help Troop camping activites. The Troop is sponsored by the Second Reformed Church. Take-outs available.

Welcome back to Nellie DeWispelaere, who has been spending time in the sunny south.

Don and Shirley Ameele are back at their Marion home for the summer.

Isabelle Bushart has a bus trip planned for Renfro Valley, Kentucky in June - 5 days and 4 nights includes Renfro Valley Jamboree, Barn Dance, Sunday Morning Gatherin' Show, Mountain Gospel Jubilee, Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington. Tour of historic Berea including College, June 3-7. Call 926-7764.

APRIL 8, 1943 - Two Marion Air Cadets, Roger J. Bradley and Harold DuBois, have received their silver wings of an Air Force pilot and been commissioned second lieutenant.
