Missing Sodus
A Happy April Birthday to Rebecca Clark who will be celebrating on the 21st, and I can't leave out Rachel, who will have hers on the 22nd. I haven't figured out yet how I will bake her a cake. We're coming to Lyons that morning to pick up Sarah who will be visiting one of the veterinarians at the Lyons Clinic for a couple of days. (We haven't told Sarah yet. We'll just pack her up with her favorite toy and feel really bad when we have leave.) Baseball season has begun. Shawna Pike is on the JV softball team and Ruth Lennox was
on her way to her son Donny's game when I talked to her last. (I had always thought of
baseball as a warm-weather sport, but found, after years of involvement, the warm weather
comes after Jeremy Pike plays JV tennis this year, and Donny went on a trip to Houston, Texas not long ago. Thirty-two technicians from around the country went for the Engine Management Strategies workshop. Donny and a couple of the guys drove down to the Houston Space Center, and to Planet Hollywood. He sent out many postcards (I haven't received mine yet?) and said the weather was in the 70's and 80's. (More baseball - son Michael recently had the chance to meet Spikes, mascot to the Rochester Red Wings. I've sent along this autographed picture.) The Church of Epiphany teens are having a Movie Madness overnight April 21-22. Have a great time!
On April 21, the Williamson Library will have a "Sandwiched-In" program with local fruit grower Robert Peters. Register to enjoy the $2 lunch by calling 589-2048 by Monday night. I received a nice note from Burt Ford of Newark. I'm glad to hear he enjoys the column. I hope you do, too. Write to me at Copyright © 1999 |
