Newark Farmers Market plans opening

The Farmers Market is opening for the season Thursday, May 27 at the Cornell Cooperative Extension Office in Newark.

On sale will be Wayne County grown fruits and vegetables, baked goods, and handmade crafts. The market will run from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m., every Thursday at the Cornell Cooperative Extension site on Route 88 North. There will be ample parking and easy access for the handicapped.

No sales will be made before 2 p.m.
