Turn off the TV Week

The Wayne County Historical Society be open for tours on April 26 from 6-8 p.m. as an option for television viewing during Turn Off Television Week.

TVDocents will be on hand to guide visitors through the former Wayne County Jail (circa 1854), attached sheriffs home and the two-story carriage house, now which all house exhibits that are representive of Wayne County's history.

On this evening, there will also be a class for anyone who would like to try the Early American art of papermaking.

The public is invited to attend, there is no fee for the tours or the class, and donations are gratefully received. Registration for the papermaking classes is necessary due to limited class size. The first class begins at 6 p.m., subsequent classes begin at 6:30, 7 and 7:30 p.m.
