Training classes for Soccer officials

The Wayne County Board of Approved Soccer Officials will be offering Training Classes for new Soccer Officials.

All participants who complete this training will be given the opportunity to gain experience by working games (U13 age group; boys and girls games) for the Wayne Finger Lakes Youth Soccer League. All new officials who wish to continue working can join the board and work JV boys and girls games this fall.

This is an opportunity to start or continue your interest in the game of soccer.

Classes for new soccer officials, ages 17 and older, will be held at Newark High School on May 10, 12, 14 and 15. This 12-hour course will also include 3-4 hours of field training run under scrimmage conditions.

The classes will run from 7-9 p.m. on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. On Saturday, the class will run from 9-noon with a one-hour break followed by on-field training.

To register, call Tom Angie (course instructor) at 926-5157 or e-mail at angieson@gateway.net
