The Scalloped Potato and Ham Dinner is Monday, April 26, at Mary Ellen's Restaurant, downtown. Proceeds will help with camping activities for Marion Boy Scout Troop 130, 4:40-7:00 p.m.

The can and bottle drive on Saturday, April 24, on the front lawn of the Marion Elementary School by the Marion girls basketball teams. They told us about this important activity way back in February as they are looking forward to going to Basketball Camp.

Chris and Ginny Christianson visited their grandson, Sean Christianson in Fort Knox, KY, on their return from Florida. Sean entered the Army in September and is now a Corporal in the Armored Division and also trains with the paratroopers there.

Tom Haak is recuperating following surgery.

Gen DeVey underwent successful cataract surgery.

APRIL 7, 1921: Mrs. Myron A. Brewster, who has conducted a millinery store in Marion the past eighteen years, has sold to Mrs. Phoebe Hoff and Mrs. Irving Hoffmaster, who will take possession on Monday, April 4.

Rod and Helen Adriaansen have returned home to Marion after spending time in Florida.

And Ike and Nan DeWispelaere are home too, from the sunny south.

Family night roller skating party sponsored by the Marion PTA on Friday, April 30 from 7 to 8:30 p.m. All children must be accompanied by an adult.

The Marion Fire Department Auxiliary is holding a chicken barbecue on April 24, at the Marion Fire Hall beginning at 3 p.m.

(Editor's note: Carolyn is actually frolicking around Holland. I don't now how she manages to keep track of Marion Happenings when she's on another continent, but she obviously does! Have a great time, Carolyn, and bring back plenty of pictures!)
