Hot Spot opens in Newark

The hot dog stand on Van Buren Street, across the parking lot from IEC, is open for business. The building, picnic tables and grounds have been refurbished and spruced up. The menu was designed by Richard Albrecht; the sign atop the building was painted by John Hodgson.

The owners are Michael and Mary Fitch. (Mary and her mother have been cooking at restaurants for more than 20 years.) Call Mary at 331-FOOD to place an order, arrange for delivery, or to talk about party catering. More than 50 items, including 11 hot dog choices, are on the menu.
