Williamson Dessert contest planned

AppleThe Williamson Apple Blossom Apple Dessert Contest and Auction are planned for May 15, at 4 p.m., following the parade.

Categories are pies, breads and cakes. Three winners ($10, $15, $25) in each category. Grand prize $50 dinner for two; questions, call Larry Fisher at 589-8859. Deliver entries to the Grange Hall in Williamson, May 14 from 2-6 p.m. and May 15, 8-9:30 a.m. Judging from 10-noon on May 15.

Contest is conducted by the Pultneyville United Methodist Church, sponsored by the Williamson Apple Blossom Committee, with proceeds to help the United Methodist World Service.

The 40th Annual Apple Blossom Festival runs May 8-16. The Queen's Coronation is scheduled for May 8;

a street dance, carnival, and fireworks on May 14;

the big apple blossom parade, a street dance, and carnival on May 15;

with a craft show and family entertainment wrapping up the festival on May 16.
