Recipes from Carolyn Adriaansen Marion Town Historian Carolyn Adriaansen not only writes a weekly column of local Happenings, she gathers recipes from odd and assorted sources. She has put together several pamphlets that feature such collections as Easter favorites, Dutch recipes, Christmas goodies... This week, she has passed along these just for fun: Popcorn Cake 4 quarts popcorn (popped) Melt butter, oil, gum drops and marshmallows in Micro, pour over popcorn, add nuts, stir and pour into greased pans. One Egg It's hardly enough for breakfast. Veggie Weggie 2 pkgs. refrigerated crescent rolls veggies: Lay crescent rolls flat on ungreased cookie sheet. Press down and bake (as directed on package) until golden brown. Mix together cream cheese with dressing mix and mayo. Spread mixture on cooled rolls. Press finely chopped veggie on cream cheese. Refrigerate. Cut into 1-inch squares to serve. Copyright © 1999 |
