Has anyone else heard of wolves on Eddy Ridge Road?

Julia Wise presented the Ministry of Music segment during the worship service at the second Reformed Church on December 12.

The Junior Choir, at the same service, sang the songs, Rejoice, Deck the Halls, Isn't He, and Worship the King. This young choir is under the direction of Sherry Reiss.

Congratulations! to Ray and Diane Van Lare on the occasion of their seventh wedding anniversary.

The Marion Penny Fund Assemblies will be held on Tuesday, December 21. This program is sponsored by the Marion Chapter of the National Honor Society.

Rog and Gen, Gordon and Carolyn, and Rod and Helen Adriaansen, along with Harold and Eleanor Schoonerman, enjoyed a delicious buffet at the Canalside Inn, in Newark, in celebration of the Christmas holiday. Following the repast, all assembled back at the home of Rog and Gen on Mill Street, for conversations including past family events, upcoming vacations and questions about Marion's historic past. This was graced with coffee and cake!

DECEMBER 16, 1943: Boy Scouts of Troop #137 are sponsoring a waste paper drive this Saturday.

Sunday, December 19, Pancake Breakfast, all you can eat, plus French toast, home fries, sausage, eggs, toast, coffee and juice. Sponsored by the Macedon Fire Dept., 1 Canal Park, Macedon. 8 to noon.

Belated Happy 85th Birthday to Russell Freeman on December 7.

Walk the school halls. Once again the Marion high school and elementary school hallways will be open for walkers. The buildings will be open in the evening on school days between 6:30 and 8 p.m. You may enter through the front door at the high school, and through the back door by the gym at the elementary building.

Despite 35 points form Steve Schutt, intense effort from the whole team and great support from loyal fans, the Black Knight basketball team lost to Gananda 72-60 on Dec. 8.

On Dec. 3, the 8th grade girls basketball team defeated Lyons by the score of 42-34. Danielle DeLyser led the team, scoring 25 points. Also, Mary Boerman added nine and Chrissy DeFisher scored six.

The 8th grade girls basketball team improved their record to 6-1 on Dec. 8 with a win over NRW. Danielle DeLyser scored eight points, while Mary Boerman and Hannah Lawliss each scored six points.

The varsity girls basketball team lost to Rush-Henrietta 42-29. The girls beat Marshall 37-26 to win the consolation game at the Eastridge Tournament.

Seventh-grade girls posted victories over Sodus and North Rose-Wolcott, on Dec. 1 and Dec. 8.

Modified girls A basketball team lost at Sodus. The team played excellent defense.

JV girls basketball team won the consolation game of the Eastridge Tournament with a score of 38-14. Lisa Colling and Kristina Lewis led all scorers with 10 and nine points. Great team effort.
