Missing Sodus

frosty the snowmanDid everyone have a Merry Christmas? It's so nice just to sit by the tree and relax, now. Next year, I should begin to write out my cards in November, shop in September and wrap in October, then it won't seem so stressful. (?) This was the first time in a long time I worked and tried to do it all. Now, Im looking forward to spring and planting the garden.

At the Kraft Shack there will be a four-night Real Stained Glass Class (you must attend all classes) Beginning Thursday, January 6 from 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. Other classes will be Tuesday the 11th, Thursday the 13th and Thursday the 20th. The cost is $45 (some supplies are extra). You will create a beautiful stained glass piece to be cherished for a lifetime.

Congratulations to Donny Pike on his new job at Elliott's Garage in Williamson. Now, instead of driving all the way into Greece, he's about l0-l5 minutes from home. (Easier to plan for dinner, isn't it Melanie?)

Shawna Pike just turned Sweet l6! Can't be! She'll be learning to drive before you know it. She wants to get to the DMV to try for her Learner's Permit already. When my kids learn to drive, I'll be out of town for a while - I thought teaching them to ride a two-wheel bike was scary enough!

happy new year bannerDon't forget to go see the Holiday Mummers at the Williamson library on January 5 at 7 p.m. Bells and Motley will be presenting a pageant in the true Medieval Tradition. The celebration will tell of the twelve days of Christmas, featuring gorgeous costumes, fascinating instruments, and beguiling music. A wonderful evening of music and dance. One you can't miss! Thanks, Mrs. Gravelle, for all of the descriptive adjectives. (Everyone knows I can't come up with great words such as beguiling.)

If you are looking for a cute web site for the kids and are a Jan Brett fan, try this one:

There are many adorable pictures of the Hedgehog in the story. I had no idea he was such a main character. A great one for the kids to print up and color at their leisure.

Sodus residents can recycle their Christmas trees all month long at the Sodus Town Barn on Rotterdam Rd.

Have a great new year and don't forget to write to me

We'll have a brand new year of things to share. Hope to hear from you very soon!
