Books we liked...
Our trips to the library take us many places and through many holidays. We hope you enjoy these as much as we did.
Aunt Hilarity s Bustle by Helen Hetteman. A funny story about Auntie who wants to wear a bustle as they did in the olden days, and the problems she has with the homemade ones she comes up with. The text is involved but the story is hilarious.
Anansi and the Talking Melon retold by Eric Kimmel. We love the Anansi books. This spider can cause more trouble and confusion, especially when he's inside of a melon and the animals think the melon speaks.
Arthur's Underwear by Marc Brown.
Albert's Ballgame by Leslie Tryon. Albert is a duck. Easy text, great pictures and a fun ballgame to read about.
Bunny Money by Rosemary Wells.
Geraldine's Blanket by Holly Keller. Geraldine has a blanket she loves. Wait 'til you find out how she gets to keep it. Easy text - relax and let the kids read to you.
Mouses Birthday by Jane Yolen. Mouse has a birthday but lives in a tiny house. It's fun to see how his guests arrive.
Alister and the Alien Invasion by Marilyn Sadler and Alisters Time Machine. Alister is a brilliant child who has great adventures! Easy and fun to read.
