Winter storm closes school

Another four to six inches of snow overnight has closed area schools and affected many area businesses.

Most of New York State is under a Winter Storm Warning, with NYS Police advising no unneccesary travel. Another four to six inches is expected to fall today, adding to the forty-plus inches already accumulated this week.

Temperatures will be in the 20's, with the wind chill making the air feel more like 0 to 3 degrees. Area meteorologists expect conditions to improve later this afternoon.

Most schools area closed including Newark, Clyde-Savannah, Lyons, Marion, Sodus, Williamson, N. Rose-Wolcott, Palmyra-Macedon, St. Michael's and East Palmyra Christian School.
