WCCA Members Art Show

Ten Years on the Corner - the 1999 WCCA Members' Show opens July 9 and runs until August 6. Open to all members of Wayne County Council for the Arts, this non-juried exhibit is always well received and well attended.

This is your chance to display your work in a non-competitive gallery setting. Work in any medium will be accepted for this show. All work should be properly prepared for public exhibition.

"We moved from Newark to the corner of Broad and Water Streets in Lyons in 1989," noted Arts Council Executive Director Kevin Schoonover. "And we're using this show, an exhibit that so closely binds us to our members year after year, to celebrate this milestone."

Artists may submit up to three pieces. The Arts Council reserves the right to limit the number of pieces exhibited, based on the number received and the amount of available exhibition space.

Drop off work to the Arts Council's gallery at 2 Broad Street in Lyons between July 1 and 5. Hours are weekdays from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. and 10 a.m. until noon on July 3. Call the Arts Council at 315.946.5078 to make other arrangements if these times are inconvenient, if you have any questions, or to learn about how to become a member of Wayne County Council for the Arts.

The opening reception will take place on JuIy 9 from 7-8:30 p.m. Attendance is free and the public is cordially invited.
