Fran and Marge DeWind attended the graduation of their granddaughter, Alison DeWind, in Barberton, Ohio. Alison graduated with honors in a class of 275. She will attend Akron University to study law. Her parents are Rick and Pam DeWind.

Heidi Boerman, daughter of Sandy Boerman, made the Dean's List at Daemen College in Amhurst. Heidi is a sophomore in the physician assistant program.

JULY 9, 1915: Cherries bring three cents a pound at the canning factory. They cost one cent a pound to pick.

Remember: Farm Market at the Kuperus Meat Market on July 10, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.

And, the girls basketball teams will collect bottles and cans at the elementary school, July 10, 10 until 2.

The Rev. Gerald Harris was the guest minister at the United Church on July 4.

Isabelle Bushart has two trips planned. Sept. 18-25 there is a Bermuda Cruise from New York City, with the Norwegian Cruise Line. Oct. 18-22 a trip to Olde Cape Cod, including Hyannis, Kennedy Memorial, Provincetown, Sandwich, Plymouth Rock, with lobster dinner included. Call Isabelle at 926-7764.

For the Fourth of July, the Ballestys - John and Jane and boys - entertained with a pool party for family members. Attending were aunts uncles, and many cousins. and Wilbur LaGasse and Florence Martin.

Rick DeWind and family from Barberton, Ohio and Ted and Vicky LaFlam and family from Marion, Jeff and Debbie DeWind from Newark entertained friends and family at the Town Park. This was in honor parents Fran and Marge DeWind's 45th wedding anniverary. Guests came from Palmyra, Manchester, Shortsville, Williamson, Ontario, Stanley, Savannah, Geneva, Clifton Springs and Rochester.Kevin and Kim Bushart and daughters were in Marion to visit Kevin's parents and family. The Busharts live in Melrose, New Mexico, where Kevin is a pastor in the Melrose and House United Methodist churches. They helped celebrate the 45th anniversary of Stan and Isabelle Bushart at a family pcinic hosted by Tom and Kristen Means of Hall Center Road.
