The Ministry of Music, at the Second Reformed Church on July 25, was presented by Bill DeVries.

Gordon and I and family hosted their family reunion at the home of Rog and Gen on Mill Street last Sunday. The kids splashed and hollered in the pool from the minute they arrived until they were forced to leave for home. Older folks sat around in the shade and caught up on things going on in their busy lives. Babies welcomed into the clan since last year were Kamryn Jayne, month-a-half-old daughter of Dan and Tracy Schoonerman, and Craig Brian, age nine months, son of Brian and Jill Adriaansen.

George Reiss is recuperating from foot surgery.

Kathy Weeks is recuperating at her home following surgery.

Sarah Milliman had the misfortune to fall and hurt her knee.

Ruth Vice of Sunset Drive was recently hospitalized.

Joseph Daniel, son of Nelson and Maureen Krocke, became a child of God through Baptism at St. Gregory's Church on July 19.

Fr. Bill Wizeman was welcomed at St. Gregory's on July 25. He celebrated liturgies during the weekend during his visit from England.

Next Friday, several United Way Agencies will have booths at Newark Wal-Mart, to let the public know wHere their United Way dollars go. You'll see reps from the Red Cross, Cancer Action, Alex Eligh Community Center, Candy Apple Pre-school, FLACRA, Home Meals, Child Care Council, Multiple Sclerosis Society, Wayne County Action Program, and more. Stop in between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.

Upcoming - The 22nd Annual Antique Car Show and Flea Market at the Marion Town Park on August 15.

JULY 22, 1926: Isaac Schoonerman's house at Cory Corners was struck by lightning and set on fire during a recent thunderstorm. The fire was extinguished before much damage was done.
