Golf Tourney for Pines of Peace

Pines of Peace, a comfort care home for the terminally ill, is holding its 2nd Annual Golf Tournament at Marvin's Country Club in Macedon on August 15. Last year's tournament raised over $6,000 for the facility. The goal this year is to surpass that amount.

There are several ways to participate in this event. By golfing in the event for only $65 participants can have a great day of golf and fellowship. The. toumament is a shotgun start beginning at 1:15 p.m., registration begins at 11:30 a.m.; the fee includes a cart, awards, dinner and door prizes, Those interested in attending the event, but not interested in golfing can purchase a ticket for dinner only for $15. The dinner will be served at approximately 6 p.m. with an auction to follow.

Another way to be a participant is to sponsor a hole. By sponsoring a hole, either as an individual or as a business, you will receive a sign at your designated tee, a mention in our program, and a feeling of goodwill for assisting your community in this important mission. The hole may even be donated as a memorial gift in memory of a loved one.

The deadline for dinner and golfing entries is August 2.

Entry forms are available at Pines of Peace or by calling 524.8414. If you are sponsoring a hole, you may use the entry form. If you have any questions regarding the tournament, please contact Mary & Chuck Bartl at 524.8414.
