The big red ribbon was cut Tuesday night for the opening of
the Arcadia Historical Society Museum in Newark. Members attended the preview to admire
their hard work and ambition. The Society worked hard to open the doors by Newarkfest
this weekend. Displays include an heirloom quilt, artifacts from the Jackson & Perkins
Rose Gardens, a collection of bottles and information on local dairies.
The public is invited to stop in on Saturday, June 12, and Sunday, June 13, from 10
a.m. to 5 p.m. The museum is located across from the public library, at the corner of High
and Mason. |
