Reward for dog fight info Wayne County District Attorney Richard M. Healy has announced that his office and the Humane Society of Wayne County are offering a $1,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of anyone promoting or participating in dog fighting. The DA stated he has received some information that there may be organized pit bull fighting in an area of the county. All calls and information will be held confidential and will be handled through the District Attorney's office. Dog fighting is a felony under New York State law and carries a maximum penalty of up to four years in state prison. In pursuit of their goal to prevent animal abuse the Humane Society of Wayne County has agreed to contribute $500 to the reward fund.
