Poetry Night in Newark The Toastmasters organization, Wayne Articulators, will host its second annual poem night called The Poetry Corner on Monday, May 10, at 7 p.m. The event will be held at Newark Public Library on High Street. Each of the members will be reading from one to three poems of their choice. The same opportunity will be extended to the public. "A poetry night has a long history with the Wayne Articulators," said Robert Leisten, spokesman for the group. "As Educational Vice President. "It is my responsibility to provide new experiences to the members. Several years ago, I instituted poem night as an opportunity for our members to stretch their abilities. The Poetry Corner gives them an opportunity to make presentations that are open to the public." This is a perpetuation of an old tradition and the continuation of a new one. To sign up to make a poem presentation, call the registrar at 331-0565. Poems may be original or by your favorite author. Others interested in attending may just show up.
