Habitat to build in E. Williamson Habitat for Humanity reports that Bill and Karen Christman and their family have been selected for the house to be built in East Williamson on property donated by Ted and Sharon Peters. During the construction of the house, the Christmans will spend hundreds of hours
working with volunteers to build their home. When the house is completed, they will
receive a no-interest mortgage for the cost of their home. The 11th Habitat house will be dedicated at 21 Redfield Street in Clyde on Sunday, May 16 at 2 p.m. Everyone is welcome to come and bless the house as it becomes the home of Tom and Michelle Castle and their daughters Jordan and Chelsea. There are many families waiting for their opportunity to own a house in Wayne County. Applications are accepted for a specified site. Currently, we do not have another site on which to build. If you know of available land, please call the office at 986-9915. Habitat for Humanity is an ecumenical Christian housing ministry that works in partnership with low-income (between $14,000 and $27,000) families in need of decent shelter. Habitat homeowners purchase their homes through no-profit, no-interest mortgages while contributing hundreds of hours of "sweat equity" labor working on their house and the houses of others.
