Saturday was a beautiful day in Newark - perfect
weather for 55 people and several dogs walking for CROP, to help hungry people in the
world. Walkers went one, three or six miles around Newark. Pledges were around $3500.
Laurie Piampiano coordinated the event. Money will help
the Newark Food Closet, community center, free lunch program, Home Meal Service, as well
as Church World Service.
CROP Walks in Sodus and Williamson were also held over the weekend.
