


Top Marion seniors
Rebecca L. Lewis, daughter of Darrel and Robin Lewis,
has been named the Valedictorian of the Marion High School Class of 1999. Rebecca
has earned a cumulative academic average of 95.07.
In addition to completing her four years of high school with the top average in a class
of 75 students, Rebecca is an active school citizen. She has participated in X-Country,
Basketball, Indoor Track, Track and Field, Student Council, Project Alert, Varsity Club,
Publications Club, and selected for the National Honor Society. Rebecca was selected for
"Kids Who Make a Difference Award" and represented Marion as the recipient for
the DAR award.
Rebecca will attend Messiah College and study biology.
Stephanie J. Means, daughter of David and Susan
Means, has been named the 1999 Salutatorian. Stephanie has earned this honor by
accumulating an academic average of 94.6 over the past four years. Stephanie has been
active in Basketball, Tennis, Color Guard, Varsity Club, Editor for the Publications Club,
selected for Secretary and Treasurer of her class, selected for National Honor Society,
and participated in the Spanish Exchange Program. Stephanie will receive a $1000 Wal-Mart
Scholarship.
She will attend Syracuse University, majoring in Art.
