Historical programs available

Andrea Evangelist of the Wayne County Historical Society announces a selection of outreach program topics for the fall term. All programs are of an historical nature and emphasize local ties to New York State and national history. Programs are 50 minutes long and the cost is $50 for the session. Schools should call the Museum to receive a special school price and program terms.

Topics include:

  • Before the First Settlers
  • Pioneer Everyday Life
  • Everyday Life in Great Grandmother's Day
  • History of the Erie Canal
  • Wayne County Business and Industry
  • The Underground Railroad
  • Architectural Styles in Wayne County
  • Early Education and Schools in Wayne County
  • History of Religion in Wayne County.

Additional programs and theme offerings are available upon request. For more information, call the Society Office at 946-4943, Tuesday through Fridays from 10 until Noon and 12:30 through 3:45 p.m., or stop by the Museum at 21 Butternut Street, Lyons.
