Raptors schedule tryout camp

The Newark Raptors baseball team will be holding a tryout camp on Saturday, June 5 at 8 a.m. at Colburn Park in Newark.

To be eligible, a player must:

• currently play (or be a redshirt) at an NCAA or NAIA institution
• have eligibility remaining after the 1999 season
• be in good academic standing at the institution

All athletes who wish to attend must first pre-register by calling the Raptors' office before June 1 and provide the team with the player's name, school, class, and baseball position.

Players should arrive at Colburn Park at least 20 minutes early (before 7:40 a.m.) on the day of the tryout camp, in order to finish registration.

All players must bring to the tryout:

• $10 registration fee
• A letter signed by their head coach and athletic director stating that the player has met all of the eligibility requirements
