Blooming exhibit in Lyons

Flowers: A Woman's Point of View will open on June 11 at Council for the Arts in Lyons. It is an exhibition by artist Jacqueline Pfaff-Pratt, known for her vivid colored-pencil drawings. This is the Red Creek High School art teacher's first one-woman show in Wayne County.

She said, "My work is realistic with a strong interest in expression, color, form and symbolism. My favorite subject matter is natural objects, still lifes and landscapes.

A reception is planned for 7 p.m. on June 11. Refreshments courtesy of Heluva Good Cheese will be offered. Flowers will be on display until July 2.

Arts Countil gallery hours are 10 to 5 weekdays, Saturdays 10 until 2, and by appointment. 946-5078.
