


Vietnam Veteran to speak at service
Mark Wyman, Marion Legion Post Audjant and Parade Marshal,
announces details on Marion's traditional Memorial Day Parade and Service. Line-up
for the Parade will be Monday at 4:30 p.m. with the step-off at 5 p.m. from the Firemen's
Field. Services will be held following the parade, at the Soldier's Monument at the Marion
Cemetery, and will continue at the Podium.
Invited guest speaker will be Gene Woodard, who was a Marine in Vietnam and is
presently the Commander of Palmyra American Legion, James R. Hickey Post #120. Woodard is
the recipient of two Purple Hearts, The Vietnamese Cross of Gallantry, and Conspicuous
Service Cross among others.
