Annual Giving Tree at Lyons Library As the hustle and bustle of the holiday season is approaching, the Lyons Public Library would like to remind you to visit its Giving Tree. Once again, the library will collect gifts for less fortunate children in Lyons, which will be dispersed by the F.I.N. Organization (Friends in Need). In the five years that the library has been a part of this joint project, staff has seen and heard many inspiring stories that convinced them to continue with this worthwhile effort. If you're a member of a club or a group at work, looking for an alternative to your gift exchange, try purchasing a gift for a child from our tree instead. Many parents have also used the Giving Tree as an opportunity to share with their children the joy of giving to others. Stop by the library at 61 Canal St., Lyons, select an ornament and purchase an age-appropriate toy. Return the toy unwrapped to the library by December 1. If you have any questions, call the library at 946.9262. Copyright © 1999 |
