But the East Pal fire crew went to work anyway, allowing the EPCS students to sit behind the wheel of the pumper truck, to set off the noisy sirens, to feel the pressure of the water gushing from the hoses, and to appreciate the strength of the Jaws of Life. It was not a warm day when the students at East Palmyra Christian School
conducted their fire drill under the watchful eye of East Palmyra Fire Department Chief,
John Peters. As a matter of fact, it was downright cold, with a near certainty of a
sprinkle or two of rain.
