This week, our annual Christmas Traditions publication is being distributed through local Pennysavers and the Courier-Gazette (Wayne County only).

This year's cover features the artwork of lifelong Newark resident GiGi Parcero.

She attended Newark High School, where she studied art under the late Richard Hawver. She is active in volunteering her artistic talents for the school district and hosts an arts & crafts show from her own home each year.

An accomplished artist, she's had several designs make the covers of area publications.

GiGi lives in Newark with her husband Bob and their three children, Emily 16, Jane, 14 and Tom, 9.
